A good day, but a busy one. Went into work to take some photos and talk about my gradual return and how that’s going. It’s going OK and they’re happy with the progress.
And then this evening was my final session with my current therapist which went well. Apparently I’ve made great progress over the last 6 months and she’s proud of me. So that’s nice.
Buns are fine. Switched their hay and greens and they seem to be eating normally again.
Overnight listening:
Music:
- Hannah Peel
- The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses - mostly scrubbing to those fucking baselines without which the early 90s would have been so much poorer. RIP Mani.
Reading:
- How Dennis Potter’s TV plays were guides to the purgatory of the modern age
- The Meanness of Production 65daysofstatic dude on degrowth communism and how it might apply to music.
- Cartoonist John Allison on the realities of living the dream
- London’s giant AI artwork to be torn down - I’ve been lightly following this because it’s kinda like the sort of glitchy work I used to do a few years ago before ‘AI’ got boring, so the revelation that it’s an actual Artwork, not low-budget slop, is quite tasty. The fact that it’s been removed due to racist Facebook twits is less tasty.
- ‘Too little, too late’: damning report condemns UK’s Covid response - The Guardian’s choice of photo caused me to revisit my Coronavirus Press Conferences book from 2021, my last artwork of note. I think that essay still holds up.
Watching:
Jigsaws completed:
- Pink house lock - not mine but lots of fun, even if the pink looks like GenAI flesh (it’s not).
