Trees are so much better in the winter.
Status:
A good day! Went into work for an hour on my little scooter, took a bunch of photos of bread and pastries being made, and on the way back the sun was shining so I got some nice shots of the bare trees. If I only ever photographed rabbits and trees ever again I think I’d be happy. Needed a nap in the afternoon but otherwise feeling OK.
Overnight listening:
Music:
- Cottleston Pie jumped into my brain for no reason today. There are many versions but the best has to be Rowlf on the Muppet Show. “For singing when his brain felt fluffy.”
Reading:
- Ian Dunt: Ask Me Anything: The Bastard Answers - as often with Dunt, 30% nah mate, 30% but of course, and 40% hmm that’s thought provoking. I’ll let you decide what goes where.
- People and Blogs: Nick Heer - I’ve been following Pixel Envy for years now and it’s always nice to have a peek behind the curtain.
- “Kids today are always sneaking into caves!"
- AI Killed My Job: Copywriters reveal how AI has decimated their industry - this came to me from various directions today, one with a note from Fi saying “read what’s happening to your wife’s job”.
- ‘Soil is more important than oil’: inside the perennial grain revolution - interesting article about multi-season crops that don’t require the earth to be disturbed each year. This strengthens soil health and prevents erosion. The picture comparing root structures is dramatic.
Watching:
Telly:
- Pluribus, followed by my learning about the Darién Gap. I had no idea there was a rainforest acting as an impassable barrier between north and south America.
