
Status:
Couldn’t get to sleep until 4am or something which was annoying, though I did enjoy the lightning through the curtains, and watching the storms bubble up on the weather radar through the night.
So a bit rough today. Not terrible and had some bright spots but definitely a down curve. Maybe I did too much writing? I did notice that in the paragraph yesterday about doing some writing I used the word “start” three times which should not have got through my drafting process, so something was definitely off.

- Are you sitting uncomfortably? How Backrooms upended the horror movie — I’ve only really been tangentially away of the Backrooms photo thing over the years, just chalking it up to another liminal spaces late capitalism thing. The movie does look rather intriguing though.
- ‘Not many kids had gay dads who died of Aids’: Andrew Durham and Sofia Coppola on movie memoir Fairyland — I’m a sucker for this kind of shit.
- Can these dumbphone evangelists convince you to dump smartphones — A while ago I was looking into getting a dumb phone but decided to let my current iPhone wither into irrelevance first. And looking at this company’s plans I reckon I’ve already limited it to most of what they provide. Still spend too much time on the bloody thing though…
